Chalet La Penote is a 2 minute walk from the Mont-Chery pistes with fabulous skiing, boarder cross and choice of restaurants - or jump on the ski bus which stops outside the chalet during French holidays. The local skiing at Les Gets/Morzine is extensive, with good nursery, beginner and intermediate slopes. 

 

For the more adventurous, you can ski to the far end of the Portes du Soleil (with its 650km of pistes and 212 ski lifts) taking you into Switzerland. A visit to "The Wall" in Avoriaz is also worth it - not for the faint hearted! Snowboarders are well provided for.

 

Les Gets town centre is a 10-15 minute walk downhill and a 20 minutes return! There also many other ski areas within easy reach by car, including Samoen & Flaine.
